Jeff Chowdhry is an avid sportsman enjoying golf, tennis, and football. Jeff loves doing philanthropical work. He is constantly paying it forward by using his vast contacts in the corporate world and organizing sponsored events. In commercial real estate, Jeff has helped raise funding for a number of projects in the UK and Asia. He is a regular commentator in the financial press and TV appearances on Bloomberg and CNBC.
Jeff Chowdhry is a highly educated man with a Masters’ in Business Administration from the Kingston Business School in 1990 and received his BSc Hons Economics (2:1) from Brunel University in 1982. He started out as an investment analyst, equities at BCCI. His focus was the analysis of global companies operating in all industries, to identify the best businesses in which to invest.
Jeff Chowdhry worked from 1987 at Royal Insurance Plc as aportfolio manager, US equities dealing with a number of unit trusts and insurance funds investing in North America. This involved interaction with senior management of companies, investment analysis, and responsibility for buy and sell decisions on these portfolios.
From there, Jeff Chowdhry took his experience to BZW investment management ltd and became director, portfolio manager responsible for funds invested in USA, Latin America, and India. He helped launch and subsequently manage the largest NY listed closed-end India fund.
Jeff Chowdhry is a former trustee and co-founder of ‘India Children in Need’, a UK registered charity focused on raising the educational standards of children with special needs. He is also a non-executive director of Alpha Real Trust, a Guernsey domiciled closed-end fund, which targets investment and development opportunities in real assets, in the UK, Europe and Asia.
